And the folders for syncing Sharepoint documents are supposed to be /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive/.ODContainer - /, right? The fact is NO.
The OneDrive app doesn't ask where to store the files as OneDrive folders are being synced, which is the normal behavior as previous versions. After the OneDrive app finishes rescanning/reindexing every time the app is relaunched, I would initiate syncing the Sharepoint documents from the web. Once login to the OneDrive account, the app begins to rescan/reindex every files within and it takes hours before it can work as normally.Ģ. Each and every time when the OneDrive client app is re-launched (due to app crash, reboot, etc.), the client reports syncing lost and cannot re-link to the previous storage folder due to some permission issues unless I reset the app with the script coming along (/Applications/OneDrive.app/Contents/Resources/mand).
However, there are two major problems vandalizing user experience:ġ. They actually link to ~/Library/CloudStorage which in turn are the soft-links or aliases to /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive/.ODContainer-OneDrive - and /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive/.ODContainer - /. This is compliant with the new experience of Files-on Demand as claimed by Microsoft, and entries to OneDrive and Sharepoint were added to the left side-bar of Finder. Since the migration to macOS Monterey and latest version of OneDrive, what was in the folder has been transferred to /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive/.ODContainer-OneDrive - and /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive/.ODContainer - / respectively for OneDrive and Sharepoint.
Previously with older version of OneDrive client on macOS Big Sur, I had the OneDrive Sync folder located on /Volumes/Storage/OneDrive. Macintosh SSD mounted on /Volumes/MacintoshSSD
